  3. I have the bug, but not the bucks... Last full machine I spec'd-out ran over $4500 pre-built. Maybe I'm asking for too much? Hmmm Then again, I know what works. I have an I-7 2700K that is admittedly old. I've had it pushed as far 4.3 on air cooling, no burps or hiccups. It's a fucking beast. That's what I want from my processor. Something that will run without a glitch, with me only worrying about video cards and accessories for the next decade. I-9 9900K is what I'm looking at. I also need a motherboard that won't melt under the strain. Asus has been the basis of my last two builds, and that covers nearly 20 years of flight simming. Do I want to switch? Hell no! RAM. The one thing I've learned while building flight-sim computers, you can't have too much RAM. I'm maxed at 16gb right now. I want 64. Storage. SSD baaaaaybeee. NvMe (or however those letters go together...) 1tb for C drive, another for D drive for P3D and/or IL-2 GB, DCS, Arma3 and Condor. Yeah, right, those apps ain't fitting in 1tb ... Make it a Deuce. Backup and photo/download storage on my existing pair of 4TB 7200 RPM disks. So... I need at least 4 SATA3 6gb/sec headers, prefer 6. My existing pair of 500gb 2.5" SSD's are still viable. Video .... NVidia. Has never let me down. 2080 would be nice, but I can work with 2070. Maybe even a pair of them. Power? I'd settle for 850w, but I'll need to do the math. 1000w would not disappoint me. I'm happy with my cordless Logitech mouse and keyboard combo. Simple, they work, and I have yet (knock wood) had to replace a battery. G603 and G613. But I now have rechargeable batteries from my photo hobby, so AA and AAA batteries are no longer an issue. Each one does require a USB port for the wireless gizmo ... that does suck. Was hoping one USB for both, but noooo. Screen. Not intending to try for VR any time soon. So that new new 32" curved gaming monitor showing up next week will have to suffice. I'll have a 27" and a 24" to set as peripheral monitors ... Thinking I'll keep the 24 for that. It does a very nice job letting me see who's in which TS channel, keeping a map or missions orders open, etc. . The 27 has issues with dark colors, not nearly bright enough to see anything when it's a darkly lit scene (Game of Thrones was very difficult to watch on it, as an example.) ... You bastiges and your rabbit holes,
  4. After all that......... REALLY! I don't have that one recorded on my CD. I used to have it somewhere but can't find it.
  5. Me and my little mouse friend, slashing our way thru gothic mouse ruins. What better way to forget about real life issues
  6. Here's one that didn't make it on the cd. I finally found the time to record it to my pc. The only copy I have, pulled off vhs of us playing live. Sounds like crap due to the little condenser mic but you can here (kinda) what my bass was supposed to sound like, shouldn't have let the sound engineer talk me into plugging directly into the board "dry". I'm playing an Aria Pro II, one split single hum bucker pick up (seymour duncan), through a Peavey mk IV 300w head and a Crate 100w head, a Peavey 1812 cabinet (2x10" Scorpions and an 18" Black Widow), the mk IV took frequencies below 500hz to the 18" and the Crate took 501hz and up to the 2x10's (bi-amp), then I had a Boss bass chorus pedal in line between the Crate and the 2 10's. What you here is my stack, I wasn't piped through the PA, absolutely an awesome sound! The song is called warrior, I think one of the first songs that Icy and I worked on together. Syn Generated mission with Airfields and Enemy AI on both sides.
  10. Nothing up as of yet, so will do the honors. Syn generated @ Moscow. Airfields and enemy AI on each side. Each side has 3 pretty much equal objectives to defend and defeat. If one objective is not defeated within a certain amount of time (60mins), that side gets a penalty in the form of a reduced plane set at their airfield. Another penalty is received if no objectives are defeated after another amount of time (35 mins) Axis first penalty results in this: 109F4 (4) 190A3 (4) 110G2 (2) Axis second penalty results in this 109F4 (2) 109A3 (2) 110E2 (2) Allied first penalty result in this: P40E1 (1) MIG3S24 (3) SPITFIREMKVB (2) YAK1S69 (1) LAGG3S29 (1) PE2S87 (2) Allied second penalty results in this: MIG3S24 (3) SPITFIREMKIXE (3) PE2S87 (2)

  22. Hey Don, regarding TS and Craven having to pay for it. Just to let you know no one is using the TS you have setup for OF that I know of. When we play Arma, DCS, etc. the group have their own.

I may not make it tonight for the squad meet but will try to make it later for the flight.

    Talk soon.....B

  23. Saw your post, This falls into the same category of the counter activated or deactivated, does it still count, "no," even though "documentation says it should count while deactivated" hence all the extra deactivated timers to stop inputs to counters activated or deactivated. Knowing it does not count, I still opt to deactivate timers along with counters. So if it changes to how it's documents as a fix, it won't break my stuff. I still need to double check a couple things in my setup in hopes updates don't break hours of work. Never any guarantees but I try to take the safe roads.
  24. Ya I just did a post over there as well
  25. Thanks, just responded to the post... still doesn't clear up the fact that if the check zones working on a dserver dogfight for players is a bug to be fixed or if thats now how it works. If it's a bug that they fix and you use check zones for players, a future update will break those mission. Which will suck...
  26. think this was resolved, but if people want to know what should/should not work in each type of mission AND on what kind of server, this thread explains it. https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/62208-check-zoneproximity-triggers-bug/?tab=comments#comment-951263
