Fagen Fighters WW2 Museum visit

Fagen Fighters WW2 Museum visit

Gallery of images I took on a trip to Granite Falls, MN, to the Fagen Fighters WW2 Museum. My gal Meghan won a silent auction for a plane ride from Mankato to Granite Falls, visit the museum then fly back.

Our pilot for the day was John "Jolly" Rogers, an ex-Air Force veteran fighter pilot (F-15's) and current Fed Ex freighter pilot. John offers up this trip every year as a fund raiser for the local technical college. John lives near Mankato in a lake front home, commutes to Memphis for work in his '74 Beechcraft Bonanza V-Tail.

Can't tell you how much I enjoyed the day, the ride in the V-tail and the absolutely amazing Fagen Fighter Museum. And the impromptu live P-51 flight by the museum owner was icing on the cake.

A note on the museum: every aircraft and vehicle in the museum with its wheels (or tracks) on the floor was fully operational. The only aircraft hanging and not in flying condition were the gliders and the Bf109 painted in the desert colors of H. J. Marseille.

Thats an awfully huge smile sitting there up front in the V-Tail. Great shots of the flight and the museum , too. Can’t give this album enough likes.
