  1. Man I wish I had a boss like that. Mine actually put me on report because he heard me laugh on a phone call and assumed it was a personal call, until I had the director I was speaking to call him and let him know it was in fact him I had on the phone....
  2. Yeah sorry guys work just popped up into high gear and looks like it is staying that way until at least October so I am afraid I will have to miss this one /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_e_sad.gif&key=38741f9e3530d7cdc640e0699ad44e6069f4d0e7d8af9de1ac5a402558336cb2">
  3. Yeah that is my fault sorry about that. Happend when I was optimizing the map for framerate, especially around the airfields, and decided the city of Belgorod was already a frame-hog, but forgot to update the .properties file with the change. This also allowed a little more focus dropping the target areas from 5 to 4 per side. I could update the .properties file and it would not affect anything at all other than the briefing on the menu if you guys want.
  4. Was really looking forward to flying Russian but sadly I cant make it for the 12th of August. /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_e_sad.gif&key=38741f9e3530d7cdc640e0699ad44e6069f4d0e7d8af9de1ac5a402558336cb2"> I will participate in any practises and such for the Red side however.
  5. Why a slow and unmanuverable Yak-7B when you could use a Yak-1B with far more manuverability! They also carry three pairs of rockets. ;) The rockets could also be used against bombers.
  6. Well sadly, due to the date change to Aug 12th, I will not be able to attend. I have already booked the cottage months in advance and cannot back out of it now. And I have already used my "get-out-of-jail" card with the wife when we moved the first Kursk battle to the 22nd. Pity as I was looking forward to seeing the Russian perspective. /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_e_sad.gif&key=38741f9e3530d7cdc640e0699ad44e6069f4d0e7d8af9de1ac5a402558336cb2">
  7. I like all of those. Put me where ya need a warm body. /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_biggrin.gif&key=64cd7b7a0036899205810ec0a5b90ed7121d5889dd92733089c47c9758b7f4ae">
  8. That was great fun guys, and amazing markmanship and teamwork! I think I got shot down every single sortie. No sooner did I single out a fighter to attack when two more would spot their wingman in trouble and nail me in seconds! Regarding the logs, did the tents count as well? Not that it matters as there were an equal number of tents on either side I think.
  9. Thanks very much Sensie! I liked that book so much I ordered it online. It just arrived at my door today! I only wish I had known about this book earlier as I think it would have really helped. /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_biggrin.gif&key=64cd7b7a0036899205810ec0a5b90ed7121d5889dd92733089c47c9758b7f4ae">
  10. If the 109's wont be required to loiter for an extended time over the target area they are able to reach F-2 on 50% fuel and any other target with 75%, but that being said I think it is much safer to go with your suggested fuel setting in the case of a fuel leak.
  11. Just as a side note, you need to get an La-5F over 720km/h in a dive to get it to start loosing parts... /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_twisted.gif&key=76870aa9df6931b692ccc9ef4c7472a7834d1d9dfc6a76eccadd1fa39c0df891">
  12. With that thought in mind, I'd like to request Gold flight be a mixed set of 190's (Plague and myself) and 109's (Chief and Dart). Thanks guys that would a considerable relie for me. I am willing to try and work out the 190 if you need me to but I just dont have the confidence to fly it. Which goes to show I should probably start working on that....
  13. What are the thoughts on the Bf109-G2? The good: -It's max speed at low alt is the same (or faster) than the 190-A5. -Its max dive speed it 830km/h, which is the same as the 190-A5 -It can carry the same bomb load. -I think it climbs at the same rate but not too sure as it does not have a climb indicator. -It can perform the vertical manouver at 350km/h similar to the 190-A5. The better: - It is far more manuverable than the 190-A5 - It does not overheat near as quickly as the 190-A5 -it can perform a split-s using much less altitude than the 190-A5 and likely anything the Red side has The bad - less firepower, but then we dont need to kill them, just damage them so they cannot continue the fight. But if we are going after Sturmoviks/A-10's/Pe-2's the 190 is the best tool for the job. - does not acclerate in a dive as fast but we are not going to be operating at very high altitudes anyways. That being said I will admit I am biased towards the 109-G2 simply because of all the available fighters in this mission, the 109-G2 I know the most. /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_biggrin.gif&key=64cd7b7a0036899205810ec0a5b90ed7121d5889dd92733089c47c9758b7f4ae"> (and conversely the 190-A5 I know the least)
  14. The following changes were made: - again....artillery in H-2 is no longer active. Guess the change didnt stick the last time. ;) - added smoke columns in H-2 to replace the atmosphere of the tank column being under attack. - added some camo-tents and white tents in G-2 to try to help with higher alt. visibility. For some reason those opjects are rendered at greater distances. - changed Yak-7b (1941) with the Yak-7b(1942). - added a few more 88's on the south side of Belgorod. It is very perilous for Russian pilots to fly over that city. It can be found here: http://www.2gvsap.org/chief/missions/Kursk405_southfront_v5.zip Unless there are major problems discovered between now and game time this will likely be the last version of the map. /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_biggrin.gif&key=64cd7b7a0036899205810ec0a5b90ed7121d5889dd92733089c47c9758b7f4ae">
