  1. and I'll raise you a S)**&^&(%&%*&^!!! There are adhesives available at the car parts store that MAY help. If you run out of ideas. I don't know if that Thrustmaster parts place is still open in Montreal ...
  2. Yea, Taco. I'm going to experiment with these settings - but I'm going to make sure that I still have full control authority. I would like to be able to have more stick throw without pulling the FW190/F4U etc. into a high speed stall ...
  3. Great stuff Brian! The ROF article on the some of the aircraft behaviour in a spin was interesting. BTW - when clicking on your HERE link there is also an article on IL2 - Forgotten Battles - Aces Expansion Pack. At the end of the review is a suggested setup for your joystick that might be of interest to those of us flying IL2. http://www.raes.org.uk/cms/uploaded/files/ForgottenBattlesPCReview.pdf
  4. Impressive (!) pictures Chunk. /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/thumbsup.gif&key=740950605ea2b767b0522526afb1c81551f03118b6b4457f095c43ae8aab1fd4"> Your pictures of the SFO Bay area on the other Forums are really cool. Here's one of San Francisco and the Bay area on my last day as an A319/A320/A321 Captain - off to A340/A330 training shortly thereafter. Taken after takeoff on Runway 01R out the side window (very quickly).
  5. Got my schedule for December and I WILL be there. /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_biggrin.gif&key=64cd7b7a0036899205810ec0a5b90ed7121d5889dd92733089c47c9758b7f4ae">
  6. Hope you all had a good one and that the tummy medicines were left in the cupboard. /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_wink.gif&key=940dab18e6395dabf49383a0bb376331df53e6f1880bab3f9e4e80745a8cc9ca"> I spent the day flying (not a holiday up here in any case) . Nice and quiet going into San Francisco - ended up flying "in formation" with another Airbus (USAir) both of us doing Visual Approaches maintaining our own separation. He went to 28L and I went to 28R. (From one edge of the runway to the other runway edge, separation is about 500 f
  7. http://www.xe.com/ucc/ $34.45CDN at current rates. I was looking at a site in New Zealand wondering if they would ship to Canada - but they wanted $86NZ - which if you do the conversion to Canadian Dollars is about $68CDN - TWICE what the price is in the US. Think I will wait until this other site lists this DVD-ROM.

  9. According to the information on this site - they will ship to Canada. At the moment they do not have IL2 1946 listed. But hopefully soon? http://yhst-12000246778232.stores.yahoo.net/aircombatgames.html Will Manchuria be another full priced DVD?
  10. Wringer unlocks the bottom desk drawer and pulls out a small flask sized bottle and pours Tharn 2 fingers of Buckley's Mixture. "There, that will fix you up Tharn. I suggest you drink it slowly but all in one go. Don't leave until you are finished" /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_twisted.gif&key=76870aa9df6931b692ccc9ef4c7472a7834d1d9dfc6a76eccadd1fa39c0df891"> http://www.buckleys.com/index.html
  11. When you read this - and I hope it is a few days from now (!) - I hope that you are continuing with your quick recovery. BTW - with this kind of surgery you would normally be grounded for at least 6 months - but I supply the Medical Officer's scotch - so let me know when you are ready to go flying and the Squadron Doc will find you fit. /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_wink.gif&key=940dab18e6395dabf49383a0bb376331df53e6f1880bab3f9e4e80745a8cc9ca"> Take care buddy.
  12. I will sign up when I get my December Schedule. With wanting Christmas off plus a couple of days either side I may have to work a weekend or 2. I will let you know as soon as I can.
  13. What firewall are you using Sandy? This sounds exactly like what I had happen with the home network. I had to go into ZoneAlarm and set up a "Trusted Zone" with a range of IP addresses that were allowed. I had to do this on each computer. When I went from Linksys to D-Link I had to change the IP Range one of the numbers changed (192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.199 had to be changed to 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.199 to accomadate the D-Link router.) Otherwise, I could access the internet from each computer but I could not see the other computers on the network - nor the printer that I was sharin
