  1. I need to take out some frustrations. After talking to Sandy, I think the best therapy (and practice) for me would be to join the battle with y'all and see how I do. I would like to take either a Fw-190 or a Ju-87. I mean really. All these Tuesday training sessions have to be put to use sometime. Right? Today is a good day to die. /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_twisted.gif&key=76870aa9df6931b692ccc9ef4c7472a7834d1d9dfc6a76eccadd1fa39c0df891">
  2. I share your pain. I know what it's like. A friend of mine, with whom I had worked with for 8 years, died very suddenly of lung cancer last year. It was so hard knowing that it was coming quicker than expected. So little time to prepare for what you know is coming. I think we'll all be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
  3. They say there are no strangers.... just friends we've never met. I am sorry that I never had the privilege of meeting Kat, but, just the same, he was one of our friends. S! Kat. Enjoy the never ending blue skies of eternity. /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/toast.gif&key=f562d31034c7cf7ca2012f6cbe0726d9d6a712935f921e6eef253e7b87fa9916">
  4. My spyware stormer has indicated to me that it has found NETObserve on my computer, but isn't removing it. It keeps coming up everytime it scans. I also have Spyware Doctor and it doesn't see it at all. I'm figuring it's some process embedded in the OS. Question is, what is that process? IF I know what it is, I can stop it and remove the software. Can anyone help me here? Here's a screen cap of what Spyware Stormer is showing me. I did a search of my system and it's not locating any files or folders called NetObserve. So where is it?
  5. I'm also a PSP user. I've always like it's interface. It can do about all the things Photoshop can do and is easier, in my opinion. It can use Photoshop plugins. I'll agree it just takes some time to get used to. But once you do get used to it, I doubt you'll find anything better. Having said that, the only thing I can think of that might be comparable is Corel Painter. I've got a copy of that. Haven't used it much, so I can't say much about it. Don't even remember the price. But it's a name I thought I could throw out for consideration. My advice is to give PSP more time. It's a really nice program. :D
  6. Actually, I have a Saitek X45 system. Which reminds me, I think I need to reinstall drivers for that.
  7. Hi gang. Long time, no hear, eh? I know I've been saying this for a while, but I think I'm ready to try my hand at flying again. Getting a little burned out on World of Warcraft and anxious to get back flying. (In other words, "GOD, I wanna kill something.") I just installed Teamspeak, so I need to get the settings for that. I have hyperlobby, so I should be good there. I still need to reinstall IL-2 and get all the patches installed so I'm at the same version as the rest of the squadron. Sandy, I know I've been saying I want to do this for a few weeks now, but I'd really like to get that this weekend. Oh, and I also need to find all the skins again. My HOTAS has been calling out to me lately. I'm going to try to attend tonight's meeting to see if I can get back in the swing of things. See you all there. WWElRenno Update: I just got PF+FB+AEP installed. I forgot about all my controls. Geez, there are a bunch that haven't been configured. Is there a way to export control settings? If so, can someone send me their setup so it doesn't take me forever to configure it?[/b]
  8. I didn't realize there were any 109's flying. Is this one of WWII vintage? Does anyone know.
  9. A friend of mine here actually suggested this. I tried it today and it didn't make any difference. I guess it could be the power in the apt. building here. It's kinda old. But it's the only thing that makes any sense. The X700Pro that I have here doesn't have any connections for this. The instruction booklet talks about this (it's sorta generic for all different versions, PCI, PCIe, and AGP). Since I had my system rebuilt, I've had better performance from the X300SE. World of Warcraft is kind of unstable and will crash fairly regularly when you try to exit the program. It caused a few corrupted files, and that lead to frequent blue screens of death. With a clean system now, I think my course of action will be to take the X700Pro back for a refund. Speaking of getting my system cleaned up, I'll be needing to reinstall IL-2 (Yes, I will get back to flying one of these days. Trust me.) What patch version are we up to? Can someone load it on a CD for me? And load all our skins at the same time?
  10. Hi gang. Long time no hear, eh? Greetings from my new home in Chicago. Small town guy has moved to the big city. Talk about culture shock! Been here six weeks now and I LOVE it. :D Things are going pretty good here. Still hunting for a job, but things are starting to look better. I'm at least getting into interviews now. 8) Hopefully that job situation will be resolved soon. __________________________________________________________ Here's the problem I need some help with. I bought my Dell (Dimension 4700 running XP) with an ATI X300SE card in it. For the most part, it's been working just fine. I've been delving into World of Warcraft online and it gets pretty graphics intensive. I've noticed some of thee same problems that I had with IL-2...LAG! So, I finally broke down and bought an ATI X700Pro from Circuit City. Here's where it gets interesting. I can't get the card to work. It should just be a simple matter of installing the card (PCIe) and then installing the drivers, right? NOT! I installed the card and then started hooking everything up. As soon as I connected the power cord, all the fans started running at full speed (CPU cooling fan and X700 cooling fan). Very loudly. I had to hold the power button to get it to shut off. When I tried to boot up, I couldn't get any video. I'm not even sure it was booting up. More loud fan noises. I took the computer to Circuit City and paid for them to install the card. He got it running no problem. I brought the computer back home, hooked it up, and the same thing happened. More fan noises and no video. Two more trips to Circuit City and the same thing every time. :x The old graphics card works just fine, with or without drivers installed. What am I doing wrong?
