  1. Think I know what your talking about. Think it's whatever detail level the ini goes to when you change from excellent to perfect. Just can't remember the exact switch that you change. I could be reversed on that but it makes the strip grass a slightly different color than the surrounding grass.
  2. Thanks Tharn, checked my ini and distance was set to 3. Thought I had aleady set that to maximum.
  3. I too, should be ready to be target practice. Although last night in my 1st try in a Hurri ground start full real I blew 5 engines before I figured out where the radiator handle was. Moused over the screen so many times it's a wonder I don't have scuff marks on my monitor.
  4. The subsliver also has a view next/previous thread button. Count the active threads on the sub-forum index and just start at the top thread and view prev that many times before going back to the main index.
  5. I had a local 4th of July fireworks show In my back field about 300m behind the house this year. Fortunately the person setting them off was a local policeman who was licensed for fireworks. In his case the permits and the cooperation of the fire department was no problem. Perhaps you can find someone in your local gov't to help out. The show was about 45 min with several hundred 3-5 inch shells. Noticed the day of the show my camera was broken or I would've already posted some pics.
  6. I'd go with the nvidia card just because of peraonal bad luck with some ati cards. But as far as pipes vs memory I'd go woth the pipes. My present card, 7600 GT KO (highest end card that doesnt require an extra power supply) has the same core and memory speeds as the 7900GT KO, 600 and 1500. IT has only half the pipes 12 vs 24. From what I've experienced and read it only has about half the performance. So going from that I'd takes the speed and pipes over the extra memory. They're both 256 meg ram, but specs on Tom's hardware and other sites don't support that 512 megs is twice as fast as 256
  7. Seems I patted myself on the back a bit early. have one way file sharing now. Can access shared folders on the new pc from the old one but when I try to access the old one from the new one I get an error //pc not accessable, you might not have permission to use the resource. Contact the administrator. :Logon failure. the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer. Doesn't seem to be security related as I've turned off NIS and it firewall on that system. I think maybe there might be something I need to do in administion on the old pc but can't see why it works one way a
  8. Wouldn't mind trying a 110, otherwise any slot left open.
  9. Got mine fixed. I think it was setting up trusted places in NIS firewall networking tab. Hope yours turn out this simple Sandy.
  10. Talk about timing, I've got exactly the same problem. My first ever networking try. Bought a D-Link 5 port open switch, hooked everything up, ran the network wizard on both PC's. The network is there and operating. Can connect IL-2 in a lan game and the old pc can access the internet through the modem connection on the new one. But, Just like SandMan no file sharing. Does the network wizard set up the work group or do I somehow have to make one? The network name HOME shows on windows explorers My Network Places, but when I click on it I get a you do not have access, see the network administrat
  11. Not sure Happy. Think it might be spanish for "the corn". Now what a guy and his wife would do with corn in a class is pretty much open to the imagination. /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_rolleyes.gif&key=1e8c06ab12fb541f5359109fc2a9aa78454b8063e7aa8862e992af3163d7b4b4">
  12. As usual, if I don't have to work I'll be there. Pencil me in with Sensei as a replacement pilot.
