  1. Anything to do with Arma and I'm in Sandy and I can't wait to see what the new GFX engine looks like. As long as we can host missions with friends as we do now it should be good. Mission building in Arma right now requires a lot of extra planning to keep the frame rates up by disabling the simulation for a yet to play AO etc. The new platform will use multicore and get a speed boost from the use of the GFX card. We're due for a update but I'd still come back, play and mission build (SOG Prairie Fire) Vietnam for Arma 3 it's that good. I have a Vietnam mission ready to go for Wed. lay in wait for a NVA convoy then run our Huey's north of Khe Sanh on a search and destroy mission. Chunk, It would be fun to have you join some time down the road. If your interested I'll send you a invite to our steam chat room. You know half the guys already.
  2. I agree Chunk, my favorite place to go when visiting in Seattle.
  3. Never seen a V1 with a open nose like that
  4. We may even get a bit of snow for Christmas Have a great Christmas everybody
  5. Biker, last night I mentioned something about getting ai to drop bombs directly, so thought I'd better check today so as to not give you wrong info. Here's notes I made as part of the group file. Keep the wp before the attack area at least 2000m out, use the ruler. Planes fly clockwise so set up the post wp accordingly. Bring in fighters for cover after the bomb drop. I am pretty sure this group file called "bomb run 1plane xxxxx bingo" is here. Edit; I just updated the group files Dec 13th 2021 so it's there.
  6. Hey Duck, Finally got around to setting controllers up for FC yesterday and will try to make it tonight for your mission. After building this new system, my saved profiles didn't work because all the controller ID's etc. didn't jive. Will probably have some more fine tuning but I'm sure it's almost there.
  7. Cephas, never had any problem with the ME crashing. I haven't built any missions with my new intel (11600k) build but my older intel (3570) with a 1440 gsync monitor never caused me any grief.
  8. You probably know this Duck but if you back up a small drive to a larger drive using Acronis you end up with that 93 gb unallocated partition in your image. If you need to recoup it to back up data say off another drive I use https://www.diskpart.com/free-partition-manager.html https://www.diskpart.com/help/merge-partition.html It's free and easy to use and I recommend it. You can even use it to clone but I find it a bit slow compared to Acronis.
  9. As mentioned Don't know what happened to that mission Duck but as soon as I opened it to check it out I could tell it was missing 3/4 of it's contents Didn't even look like anything I'd previously built. Who knows!
  10. Don't know what happened to that mission Duck but as soon as I opened it to check it out I could tell it was missing 3/4 of it's contents. I may have a backup of it but more than likely it's toast. For future reference I put a failsafe in all my missions in case the next objective doesn't show up for some reason. To proceed from objective one to two kill the truck under the home base balloon. To proceed from objective two to three, kill the truck parked behind the medical (red cross) building at home base. I never needed to use it but it's nice insurance if things go whacky.
  11. Hey Duck, When we started these task based missions over a year ago we must have been a bit rusty because we didn't make it through #1. Rather than carrying on and missing out on the final part of the mission, I extended #1 and called it #2. Being #2 was set at the same airfield and at the same area of the map I decided to drop it. I just didn't want anything to repetitive and to keep things interesting. Hence no #2 Towards the end of these sessions we were running through missions rather quickly, guess we weren't rusty anymore. Enjoy
  12. Ya I'm all set for tonight Sandy, No Mods just Prairie fire. Bomrr and I did some testing and found it's best to go vanilla for this as you mentioned. I also set up Mike Force Beta to host, man that's impressive, can't believe it's arma with what they've done. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2477873447 Check out our steam group chat
  13. Loading it up right now Sandy, off to the ME for my next mission Btw it was about 25g in size
