  1. "very sick", Damn, I wonder if IL2/patches/FB/coming patch, had anything to do with this. Honestly, I imagine that the stress of developing all this, and having your repetitation, livelyhood, and your dream of "making a living" as a sim developer, was intense. I seriously doubt that after expenses, he made much of a profit on IL2. FB could have been retailed at $49.99 and it would of sold as many copies. After all the bitching about VVS bias in game code, and the pre-IL2 days are compared to what we have to fly today, we would miss this guy if he never gets much better, or worse....... I
  2. Have you checked http://www.pricewatch.com? My experience is that the online stores with the cheapest price usually have the slowest order to delivery time and customer service is poor. http://www.resellerratings.com is a useful tool to see what other customers experiences have been with a particular online seller. My general feeling about MX cards are that you would be better off with a GeForce 2 or 3 card than a MX geforce4. Before you order, you might search google for the card brand and model with the word "review". Also search google groups with the card brand and model and see what it tu

  4. http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview ... id=1005375 You cant build one for this, if you add in the cost of retail XP, of course those who build their own have access to a operating system. Prices may be lower at Dell near the end of the quarter, but no guarantee that the stackable coupons will be as good. 5. I have a farm of "twisty" sticks, too many to count really, I wear them out so quick. I decided to make the jump to something else, since I have a qualified "expert" on Saitek care and feeding I can contact. I ordered 2 of these refurbed X-45 sticks, shipping on 2 was only $9.64.
  6. Thank you. Your work is appreciated greatly!
  7. Need ink, or a new chair? Check out this thread. Follow the instructions in the first post. I bought some HP ink for my printer. Chose in-store pickup to save shipping. You maybe able to print out your confirmation page showing the coupon discount and take that to Office Max, if you want something there. In some areas they accept OD coupons. http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/messageview.cfm?start=0&catid=18&threadid=162512
  8. Ok, Advanced training book says E4/B combat setting 2200rpm, cruise at 2000rpm, economy cruise at 1900rpm. At 99% throttle, and 10% pitch, I can stay at 2200, but in any dive, I quickly exceed the 2200rpm and get a hot engine. Is the only engine management action available to decrease throttle to 50% or so, to keep at 2200rpm and the engine cool? I keep the radiator closed all the way, for speed on egress, it's bad enough to have to decrease throttle to keep rpm down in a dive, without the drag of air through the radiator.
  9. Ok, I have settled on the E4/B since thats what we get when IS FB starts. No He111 or Stukas, right? So, I go to QMB, and set up 4 planes, me and 3 others in my flight, 4x50kg bombs. Bridge as target with AAA. As soon as I get into the mission, I command the 3 AI to "Loiter here". I get the "roger, loitering here" response, but they dont. They go ahead with their attack on the bridge. Even a "previous waypoint" gets a "roger, prev way" response, but "on" they go. I have tried Veteren and Ace settings, neither make them loiter. I am getting the correct answers but not the correct action. Anyone
  10. Only have my joystick and a few button sorted out, but here's what I said hmmmmm.. about in my first couple of flights. 190A5, sounds like a Harley when idling, slow throttle responce. Seems slower to climb, and with a 500kg bomb, nearly twice the runway needed to hit 180kph. Me262a2,(ok, was playing), rockets didnt have much punch against static planes, but more testing is needed. Moving the throttle up slowly allowed me to hit 100%, will overheat quickly at 100, but a +/- 30 degree dive will cool hot engines. Oh, and buffeting starts at 890kph, wings come off at 1000kph. Stuka with the wi

  13. Thanks for the infor Dub. I looked at my VEF stats and I see 34 missions, 12 deaths, would that be a total of 22 hashs, instead of the 18 on my plane? Or am I missing some other consideration? S!
  14. Thanks Dub! Btw, how did we arrive at the VEF missions survived? Total flown minus deaths?
  15. VEF HQ is passworded now, even to see your stats. Anyone have the password. Password isnt lagcheat is it? /applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=%7BSMILIES_PATH%7D/icon_twisted.gif&key=76870aa9df6931b692ccc9ef4c7472a7834d1d9dfc6a76eccadd1fa39c0df891">

  17. An oversupply of DDR ram will eventually cause a price drop as the suppliers are forced to adjust the price to move out the product. (sounds like gasoline). This is good news for me, as I am on the prowl for a P4 chip with C1 stepping, (only OEM have them now), that can overclock to the 3gig+ level and I need some high quality ram to go with it. Right now Corsair XMS3000 C2PT ram (2 - 256 sticks are better for Granite Bay dual channel boards) is handling overclocking very nicely as born out by Memtest.
  18. Ok, like I said, I dont know nothing about ATI, thought this was the fastest one. Looks like this is only about $25 off regular price. http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0149119

  21. Ok, some of you are experts at searches and will think this to be very basic info. Maybe others have not tried http://www.Google.com. Lets say you are looking for Linux apps and then want to find out what problems or workarounds are availible. Or a joystick/switch problem. Google defaults to seaching the Internet websites that have text that includes the search words you have entered. Lets say I am considering a Gigabyte 8IEXP system board. I would type in Gigabyte 8IEXP, and mostly see websites that sell the boards. The "blue" text above each return will take you to the website you see in "gr
