WWGangster
Guys. My wifes cousin gave my son a 3 year old HP Z420 workstation and I am having a ridiculous time getting the drivers for it. The website says to use the model number or serial number.......i have both but it doesnt recognize it. So I cant connect to the internet to let the HP driver assistant search for the damn drivers. I installed windows 7 64Any ideas?Product number is F8K43US#ABASerial number is 2UA4181S1H
WWPlague
EDIT: took a break to go sit in "the reading room", and I wondered, what do you see when you open device manager? Win 7 usually installs some drivers, you don't have anything installed for the HP onboard modem? If a generic driver got installed, is it just that Win doesn't have the proper settings to connect the browser to the internet?I didn't find anything either. Install the free Win 10 and see if it has any generic drivers that it can install to get you on the interweb?https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/accessibility/windows10upgrade
WWGangster
Thanks for helping Plague. Cousin will be sending drivers from a disc he has so, I should be good. Windows 10 wanted to confirm internet connection on install. Device manager has said "missing drivers" for network adapters.
