Attention all Wing Walkers members with a wingwalkers(dot)org email address:

PLEASE UPDATE YOUR EMAIL PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY

Visit WingWalkers' WebMail and log in with your email address and current password. Click the drop-down menu on the top-right under your username, select "Password and Security" and change your password. If you've forgotten your password, use the "I forgot my password" option and follow the steps (you've done that before, I'm sure.)

Please send me - WWSandMan - a private message on the forum letting me know you've changed your password. Those of you who have done so already, thank you!

** Folks who have not responded that they have updated their email account password will have that account deleted. All unused accounts will be deleted.**

We have far too many email accounts not being used, or which have been compromised, to allow them to remain open. Thank you for understanding the need to go to these lengths.

SITE ISSUES - GETTING MALWARE WARNINGS

Recommended Posts

At the sake of sounding like a simpleton, everything worked properly up to the day this malware warning popped up. Was there a backup done prior to the warning, and if so, would it be feasible to restore the site from that backup to see if that works? I assume we’d lose some posts, but that’s be a small price to pay to have this issue resolved. My apologies if that has already been done or is simplY not possible.

I know Sandy has been doing a lot of cleaning behind the scenes ( one of the goals with this new roll out was for this to be easier for Sandy and I am pretty sure that has not been the case!).

I might consider taking off the stats link again.  I know it has been up a while, but Vaal updates it constantly,  I updated stats on the server 3-6 and 3-19

I have no idea how long it might take Google to figure out a site is safe once a threat has been removed, but would guess it is not one day.

This is a neat trick that let me keep chrome as my default browser with safe browsing enabled, but still have a shortcut to forum on my desktop that opens in ie11

I was a good soldier and changed by passwords on both my squad log in and the web mail.  My password was pretty wimpy so overdue for upgrading.

It's not an issue with the Invision software, as best I can tell. There is a new security update for Invision that I will get installed asap. But I don't think our sites issue is there, I think it's a file that got placed into the vault. I just can't find it.
