throttle/rad control

Recommended Posts

Was really used to having the rad and throttle on the same axis when I played RoF, and wanted the same thing for FC.

a little more to it than just the dos box, but this did work.

allows me to have a profile that links my throttle and radiator for FC, but also have a profile that let's me have separate controls for BoX.  If I am going to fly FC, I click on a shortcut that executes a bat file with this:

rem this will make your Flying Circus profile your active Profile

xcopy /-y currentFC.actions current.actions

When I go to play BoX, I execute a shortcut to a bat file that does this.

rem this will make your BoX profile your active Profile

xcopy /-y currentBoX.actions current.actions

Don't you need to back up the actions file for the current game before over writing it? At least to start, for each profile and anytime a change is made...

yes.  made a copy of current actions, went into FC, linked throttle and rad to one axis, saved, then renamed current.actions currentfc.actions.

but this all could very well be mute.  it appears 2 files get changed when you edit controls.

yep, Box (and FC) are not as simple as ROF...am not totally sure what that "map" file is, but it gets changed when current.actions gets changed.

this is working thou....(copy the entire friggin folder)..

for BoX...

rem this will make your BoX profile your active Profile

xcopy /-y inputBoX input

For FC

rem this will make your FC profile your active Profile

xcopy /-y inputFC input

scary stuff, I will admit....I did manage to mess up a lot of my controls, but is nice having the rad and throttle on the same axis.
