WWRenevant
~S!~ Okay guys. The II/WW needs your help. We're trying to stand up our awards and decorations but lack the raw material at the moment. If anybody who has some free time could find award images and their historical background and forward it to me it would be a big help. It does not have to be only german or russian awards. As a "non-national" unit we'll take whatever looks good. Note: Awards with nazi symbols will be accepted. The symbols will be editted out before use. Thanks all!!Dee
WWChicken
Hehe, i MAY have some pics lying around that i could scan in... I remember buying an Armed Forces Decorations and Awards poster (8 1/2 x 11) package for various countries, but that was like 3 years ago and i'm not sure if it would cover WW2 stuff... Bard
I'd suggest taking a look at jg1's website. They have put a lot of work into the awards.
WWDubya
There should be a bunch of them on our site. There used to be about 4 or 5 pages of different medals, ribbons, and other decorations... granted they are only current up to WWI. Were you looking for other more-modern awards? WWRenevant
*reads title of thread*..Lessee here...yeah, says "II/WW". So, deductive reasoning says that "current up to WWI" falls about what? 20 years short? :P yeah bud. Need VVS, Finish, Hungarian, Brit, American, Italian...wait, forget that one...german, whatever. I'd like to see a nice diverse spread of inputs and we'll organize it from there. Important to remember is we need more than images. We'll need the historic value of the medal so we can assign it it's due credits....

Well, duh... :D I was thinking that at least *many* of the awards were still carried over from previous periods... would save some hunting for duplicate images... WWSandMan
Correct, Dub. All the medals and ribbons and such from the "old" web site are still there and in place. You can visit these old-version pages of the website to see them, and the criteria for them already in place:http://www.wingwalkers.org/RB3D/Campaigns.htmhttp://www.wingwalkers.org/Merit/AwardCriteria.htmhttp://www.wingwalkers.org/Merit/GreatBritainAwards.htmhttp://www.wingwalkers.org/Merit/FrenchAwards.htmhttp://www.wingwalkers.org/Merit/GermanAwards.htmhttp://www.wingwalkers.org/IL2/RussianAwards.htmhttp://www.wingwalkers.org/Merit/MiscAwards.htmYeah, Dee... they're all WW1 era awards, though many have carried over into modern times.
