Captain Hans Dietrich, recently returned from his command in Africa has proposed a fast strike force composed of converted Opel blitz trucks and SK 10/5 Halftracks

we will be testing this for training purposes this Saturday at 7pm pst, 8pm mst, 9pm cst, 10pm est for about 1 hour.

you do NOT have to own Tank Crew or the collector trucks, you can join as gunner or commander.

Driver info

choose either of the two trucks, for the Gaz or the SD 10/5 choose the Opel Blitz skin (available here). For the SD choose any skin

make sure you choose high explosive shells and NO shields as the ground targets can’t be seen with shields on

your gear button (g) drops stabs to stabilize the truck (it won’t move with them down)

parking brake is on to start.

the gun cannot depress low enough if you are driving directly at target, they shoot low at least 45 degrees off the nose

Cephas may be driving a panzer III so watch for that, split and flank

ammo is unlimited, outside view is on

I have both trucks, the GAZ-MM 72-K and the German Half-track (Sd.Kfz 10/5).  In tank crew there is a SU-152 or SU-122, both are tanks (self-propelled guns?), no SU-150?  Are we going in trucks only?

No purchase required, you can be a gunner if you want or jump in that old decrepit Panzer III I put at the other end of the airfield

I bought the SD 5/10 and took it on a joy ride chasing a convoy through a town in a quick mission game.  I will get some more practice in tomorrow,  Should be great fun.

UPDATED 9/5/ with fixes and new parts to mission.

 

If anyone is interested I made a quick Rattenpatrouille mission inspired by Zed. 

This mission is set in the Russian winter and the Patrol is ordered to race to a nearby medium sized village to ambush a Soviet convoy that will be heading through town shortly.

I only made this with the halftrack vehicle, let me know if you need me to add the Gaz AA.  (as always keep an eye (or ear) out on the skies!)

The convoy is composed of random vehicles with a chance of light armored vehicles escorting.

I recommend playing with icons on.

If you want to get a total victory win you will need to conserve your ammo.

It is playable by one to three vehicles in Dogfight mode. (it is in a new folder "Rat Patrol" to put under your /Dogfight folder)

P.S.  Don't do what I did and try to ambush a truck at short range from behind a building and then get blown to pieces because it happened to be an ammo truck.

sorry for being so totally useless last nite.   If I get  controls to work on any of the default tanks, going to assume the will work on the collector vehicles?

I whipped out another Rat Patrol Mission.  RP Airfield Attack .zip

This one has you navigating through the woods to a ridge overlooking an enemy airfield and then unleashing havoc.

This one is Dogfight only, it will not load when I try to save it set to SP mode and I can't figure out why.  (The previous mission worked fine)
