wheelsup_cavu Posted March 13 Posted March 13 This Full Mission Builder (FMB) problem has me stumped. It is happening for this individual in versions 4.12.2m and 4.13.4m. No mods installed in either version Test Runways not Appearing in FMB ??? thread at M4T. Quote In the FMB , I am used to seeing the Test Runways 4, 5, 6 appearing as a semi transparent red plate when I select them , so that I can orient them according to terrain to function correctly. Now full disclosure , I haven't made a mission for a couple of years , and my work was always within a mod pack - usually HSFX. I am working in 4.13.4 because that's what I have access to at the moment. 1) Should my Test Runways be appearing so I can manipulate them ? 2) Is there a setting I am missing to get them to show up (perhaps in the config.ini ?). 3) Is the visible Test Runway only an addon from modded installs ? (If so why the F*** have it in there at all ?). 4) Is there a possibility here of an installation error or missing data ? Any help appreciated . ( I have forgotten a lot in two years !!!! ) Kopfdorfer Did anyone else ever have the same problem and how did you resolve it if you did? Wheels
WWCraven Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Not my area of expertise (as if I had any expertise at anything) but Cephas may remember all this stuff from when built missions for 46.
WWCephas Posted March 15 Posted March 15 If I remember correctly the test runways were a just object you could select that was just a large rectangular slab that you could set a plane on without it clipping through. It was also able to be manipulated in 3 axes so it could be placed on any terrain, over water even. Then you would put the spawn point on the end of the runway. There was always an issue of having planes fall off the edge of the slab though on takeoff or landing and instantly crash from the drop off which always too much for the planes gear to handle.
