WWSandMan Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 Gotta admit, I LOL'd at the Mazda Miata ... Then realized, I've never even driven that car in Asetto Corsa. I've driven it in real life (what a pooch of a car, LMAO) but did not expect to see it as a race type. Smiling already at this... Hoping I'll have time/availability to actually participate! 1

Should make for some close racing!!, The track IMO is perfect for the car...
WWZed Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 Ok. Came out of garage and paint shop today. Swapped in a Rolls Royce Eagle engine from a HP O/400. Gave Zeus free reign in the paint shop and Voila! 4 1
WWZed Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 Zed is ready to defend the Honour of the WW in all three races now 2
WWZed Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 If you have Assorto Corsa just download this file and unzip into contents folder. It is all my skins for race https://www.dropbox.com/s/rmofwlge7j1pvg9/WWZedSkins.zip?dl=0 2
JG1_Snaggle Posted March 23, 2022 Author Posted March 23, 2022 Good Morning, Would it be OK to move the 16th race to the 23rd and the 23rd race to the 30th? I'm checking with everyone that has signed up before making a post about it. Regards 1
WWGeezer Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 Love these vintage wheels ( probably brand new when Zed was a young man)...just too bad there is not a rear seat for Zeus. 1
WWZed Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 He doesn’t need a back seat, he can drive and yes I was a young man when the mazda miata came out. Watch your next comment buster… 1
JG1_Snaggle Posted April 3, 2022 Author Posted April 3, 2022 Bump, less than a week until first race... Note second race delayed by a week. http://162.203.189.38:8772/custom
WWSandMan Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 I'm hoping to make the first one, but just found out we'll be "entertaining guests" from out of state that weekend. grrrrrr.... I didn't expect to make the last one, but now looks like I'll make the middle one and not the last. Ya know, this real life crap getting in the way of my virtual fun is becoming a nuisance. 1
JG1_Snaggle Posted April 16, 2022 Author Posted April 16, 2022 Hope you all can make the next race on the 23rd!! Have a wonderful Easter Zed hope you had a Great time. 1
WWSandMan Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 I was disappointed I couldn't make the first race, that one looked like it would have been the most entertaining with those ancient skinny-wheeled cars. I'm hoping to be available for the race on the 23rd. So far I can work it in without trouble. Will pop in and check the discord site for current info. Oh yeah, I suppose I need to choose a livery. Just watched the video of the first race (thanks for that!) ... I think I may have given Zed a little competition, but Riley and Gordon obviously have some serious racing time under their belts. Well driven race, fellas! Looked like Zed had some difficult steering issues. But fun to see the old cars racing. Love that Voisin with the little wind-driven water pump. Very appropriate to have a propeller on the front of a car! 1
WWSandMan Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 I'll have a green '57'ish livery #19 (Gould was the driver's name) I found, which I'll be driving. I'm not a fat Bristolian, but I'm not exactly a slim Minnesotan either, so... why not. It was part of a pack of liveries I found. Do you want the link to the pack or just the one skin? @JG1_Snaggle ? Oh... and I have yet to bust through the 2:00 minute lap time (2:12 was my best so far in practice), so I think you fellas are plenty safe from me. Using a dusty old Logitech Momo wheel that doesn't quite behave as it should doesn't help.
WWSandMan Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Didn't do much better this morning in practice: 2:11. Got me curious how well a newer car would do on a simple track like this one (Silverstone '67) ... Took the Maserati MC12 with stock setup for a few laps. 1:42, without even trying hard. Wow.
WWZed Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Yeah the sun was in my eyes the wheel wouldn’t turn mooses ran out into the road in front of me…. mostly the problem was I was the worst driver there! But it sure was fun! 1 2

WWZed Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 Sorry got stuck outside of town won’t be back until 4 1
WWSandMan Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 Well, I managed to hold down last place without rubbing more than one wall and several grassy patches. I managed a personal best of 2:04, but that was easily 20 seconds/lap slower than the guys who know what they're doing. Had fun though, and hope to be around next weekend for the Mazda Miata race. 2
JG1_Snaggle Posted April 24, 2022 Author Posted April 24, 2022 SandMan thanks for racing, glad to see you had fun!! That's the point after all. Hope to see you and Zed next week for the final race of the celebration!! Don't forget to let me know the car color you want, which can always be done before we start... o7 1
