  4. the part i don't understand is how the domain is resolving? dns servers are going to have to look up the dns chain to find it, and since there's no tld how can it? unless it's it's own TLD - which raises the question of how it came about.

  6. We have enough problems getting enough people in the air under normal circumstances, let alone on a date when CinC house would KILL you for 'playing games' rather than be with family. With a scenario this complex rules wise opening the server to the public would simply not work.

  9. I noticed that the presence of enemy spies can cause that sort of issue. I generally place spies in my own cities to find them.
  10. basically it's BF2 with a mod and a new gametype. EA will likely go the same way they did with BF2 - release payware 'addons' that give you an advantage in some way over those who haven't bought the addon. This practice stopped me playing BF2. They have added in game advertising as well.... Otherwise it IS fun.

I have to say, if i had known what that biplane was capable of earlier I think I would have flown the whole event in it. Those rapid fire 20mm cannon seemed to put out more firepower than a late model 190!

  24. My mission creation is not a teamwork building exercise. What the participants do IN the mission is what is important. I find that I am quite capable of creating a mission that works, and I've also found that spending time trying to do things by committee achieves nothing but wasting time I simply do not have. As far as I am concerned, there is only a single person who has a say in the missions I create, and that is myself. I've also yet to have a bad experience with the missions I have created, and have yet to have anyone tell me they didn't enjoy them. The only bad experiences I have had, if they could be called bad, is the intellectual masturbation that occurs when others who don't understand the vision I have for the mission or the reasons i do things the way I do. I have however been witness to what happens when others have tried that approach ;) The sim genre is too full of the anal retentive for me to even consider involving someone else in what i create, i just don't want the aggravation.
