  1. You did this with the wake turbulence turned on. Nice job.
  2. Stroke 3 did it all the hard way too. His countermeasures/flares never fired. Thanks and miss y'all. Staying super busy so I'm still ghost here. I'll check back in... S!
  3. https://www.sandboxx.us/blog/watch-this-f-16-pilot-dodge-six-iraqi-surface-to-air-missiles-in-desert-storm/ Hope you guys are all doing well.
  4. Damn... That's too funny. Typically Flies Straight into you.
  5. Ah no. no. no. I only knew him for a year but I was proud to call him my friend. I will miss him and think fondly of him every time I see a tank. goddamnit.
  6. I'm sorry I missed it. Happy belated birthday, Chunk! I hope you had nice day.
  7. Happy Birthday, Icy! I'm beamin positive vibes your way and hope you get outta there, if not today but soon. I'm getting that 'tank' itch, so get back and well go blow some stuff up.
  8. Craven... That 110 looks really, really good.

  10. Happy Birthday!!!!
  11. Thanks for the misson, Zed. That was fun!
  12. Not our ball bearings! To ARMS!!!
  13. Thanks, Chunk. That made my week. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I'll keep up with the restarts. I don't know how to keep stats in DCS. Maybe I'll see you on. Cheers!!!
  14. Anthrax is up and running 'Through the Inferno' on the Syria Map. A few additional A-10II and UH-1H have been added for now. I'll restart it when I can. It will probably be up for a week or three.
  15. Never mind. I need to do some memory adjustments.... I can't get CA up tonight until I shuffle some stuff around and I gotta do something else. this evening. Sorry, Chunk!
  16. What were your impressions of the Map? I've yet to 'fly' there. This afternoon, I'll look for one of those 'through the inferno' missions... If those magnificent bastards have made one, I'll add some extra aircraft and slap her on the Castle Anthrax server. I'll leave it up too and restart it daily for a week or two.. I had been running the Normandy Map.... Freaking brutal for the UH-1H...
  17. I haven't been 'flying' IL-2 much lately, so I attributed much of my poor gunnery Tuesday night to that. However, what I did notice is I had problems with determining the range of an aircraft. Airplanes far away appear much much larger and closer than they actually are. That caused me to second guess many firing solutions, and every head on pass. After I noticed this, I didn't even bother with ranged shots (where I in the past have been able to score occasional hits). Maybe your VR was screwing with you like it was me? What settings are you using for distance spotting?
  18. Noice... I have 3. Don't see that everyday. After a 'base raiding' 3 asshole/greifer/trolls that had been a pox on a server, I left them a message for when they logged in next. Optic for the flashlight.... 3000+ hours and 3 only screenies... I do have 2 videos.

    A-10C II

I'm going to get it. I don't mind paying for an updated model. I'm ready for updates to the Gazelle and Huey.
  20. Welcome!!
  21. Such beauty.... You're the man!!!
  22. I've subbed mover. Some of his videos are a trip. If I were in need of a full setup that's not a bad rig, but at 900 I still think it a tad high. I was able to get ahold of that DCS collective builder and after a PM or two, he sold me one of his 2 premade ones. He's decided to offer as a kit build for 300ish. I believe with his current design, one will be able to easily disconnect the controller head off and swap it over to a different heli model. Super cool idea. Anyways below is my current setup in all stages, including some close-ups of the collective. I really recommend them. Standard VR mode: The round circle is roughly the center of the room, so when I'm on it, I know I'm safe from banging into things. All controls are tucked away... Flying Helis setup... I added a goose neck controller and built platorms for everything. I've yet to add the final seat so this old desk chair works for now. I have a wireless mouse that I turn on so controls can still be used. Collective Close ups pron: The guy did a bang up job. The brown grip part twists. I mounted it on a 1x2 and then the 1x2 on a 20 degree cut 4x4 to try and replicate the articulation. They guy even built the starter switch on the underside of the controller... Should I decide swith to jets, I can simply lower and extend the typing drawer for the Hotus. The lowered collecitve doesn't contact the drawer. Note the shit ton of battery packs. 1/2 are bad.
  23. If you like that game, Geezer, you may what to check out, PLEASE, DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING. https://www.forwardgs.com/please-don-t-touch-anything-3d
  24. Lemme know what you think. I've had an Oliva before but cannot remember what kind. Within the last year or so, I switched to a v-cutter. I used a guillotine for the longest time, then tried a punch. However I really like the v cut for 2 reasons. More draw than a punch, but less than a guillotine. However, unlike a guillotine, the cigar stays together. Seemed like the perfect middle. @Sand... I keep a small stash of cigarillos on hand... Romeos, Cohiba, Davidoff, etc... But I only seem to get into them on vacations where I'll walk around with one and be smoking like a champ. Don't get me started on pipes.... .. .
